Coffee with Chris
Over 70 years ago, in 1949, Dutch immigrants relatively new to Vancouver were strongly convicted that their new home needed both a Christian school and a Christian Reformed Church. These people had experienced hard times and knew the value of hard work. It took time, but they rolled up their sleeves and built Calvin Christian School, now known as Vancouver Christian School.
Calvin Christian School was the first faith-based school of its kind in the region whose goal was to thoroughly integrate the Christian worldview into all aspects of school life and learning. The early days of Calvin Christian were difficult. Parents participated heavily in all areas of the school, at times a necessity simply to keep the school running. Today over 800 students attend VCS and are part of this growing community.
If you'd like to know more about our school, our rich history, how to get involved, or if you would like to support in some way, let's have a talk!
