Strings Summer Camp 2026

I am the Child’s parent or legal guardian, and I permit his or her participation in Vancouver Christian School’s (VCS) Strings Summer Camp.

I am aware that there is some risk of injury involved in my Child’s participation in activities at the Camp and I assume all risks and hazards of, and incidental to, the participation of my Child in the activities of the Camp, such as physical strain and accidents during camp activities. I waive and release all right of claim for damages of any sort or any other claim or remedy of any sort I or my Child may have against VCS and the Summer Strings Camp Instructors in connection with my Child’s participation in the Camp.

I give permission for any of the staff members of the Camp to administer first aid treatment to my Child. I will be responsible for any medical or other charges in connection with my Child’s treatment.

All participants of 13 years and under must be signed out of the Camp. If the Child is 14 years or older, you may give them permission to sign themselves out of the Camp, understanding that if you choose to do so, VCS and the Staff at Camp will cease to be responsible for your Child and their supervision at the end of the camp day and/or during the session break(s). To make camp a safe and fun place for everyone, Summer Strings Camp organizers, volunteers and instructors expect all campers, volunteers and instructors to agree to our Code of Conduct. Inappropriate behaviour may result in the suspension of privileges, a discussion between the camper, their instructor, the Summer Strings Camp director and the camper parent(s)/guardian, or removal from the Summer Strings Camp without a refund. At Summer Strings Camp, we expect campers to practice the following: Respect – for yourself and others, including other campers, our staff, and facility property. Accountability – being responsible for your choices and actions and the consequences, positive or negative that may result. Listen – to the instructors, junior instructors, and other campers. Teamwork – keep a positive attitude, cooperate with others and work together to learn and accomplish goals and have fun throughout camp. There is absolutely NO tolerance of emotional, physical, verbal, or sexual abuse, and bullying, harassment or teasing will lead to the immediate contact of a parent or guardian and possible removal from camp. There is also no tolerance of fighting, physical violence, possession or use of weapons (including using materials as weapons), or any actions or behaviours that threaten the safety of the participant or group. Smoking, vaping, the consumption of alcohol, and possession of illegal substances will not be tolerated.

I consent to allow VCS and the Camp Staff to use images (including any motion pictures or still photographs made by VCS and/or the Camp Staff of my Child’s likeness, poses, acts and appearances or the sound records made by VCS and the Camp Staff of my Child’s voice) for any purposes in connection with promoting VCS and the Camp and its activities (the “Purposes”), which may include advertising, promotion, and marketing that can be cropped or modified with text and graphics without notifying me.

I understand that my registration is considered complete only after VCS has received both this submitted form and payment for the camper.
