If you are an international family desiring a Christ-centered education for your K-12 child, we welcome you!

Why Learn and Grow at VCS as an International Student?

Your child will join a vibrant, multicultural community that embraces and celebrates cultural diversity. At VCS, we are committed to providing a supportive environment where each student is encouraged to discover and develop their God-given gifts for His Kingdom. Through participation in both academic and extracurricular life, your child will be seen, known, and valued.

While many of our graduates pursue post-secondary education — with 99% continuing on to further studies — our greater hope is that each student discerns God’s unique calling for their life and steps confidently into the vocation, career, or service to which He leads them.

International Student FAQ

Is English your child’s second language?

Adapting to English as the primary language of instruction can present challenges. Our experienced English Language Learner (ELL) team provides individualized, one-on-one support to help students build confidence and strengthen their language skills throughout their studies.

International students applying for Grades 7 to 12 are required to submit IELTS results with a minimum average score of 5.0.

Does VCS offer a homestay program?

VCS does not directly arrange homestay placements. Families are responsible for securing suitable living accommodations, including homestay arrangements if needed. We encourage international students planning to study in Canada, to live with an adult family member.

When can my child enter VCS?

For elementary students (Kindergarten to Grade 7), we recommend beginning in September at the start of the school year. Please note that elementary students must reside with a parent locally.

For high school students (Grades 8 to 12), entry is available in either September or February, following our semester-based schedule.
