Arts
At VCS, we believe that God’s glory is reflected in every part of His creation, and the Arts invite students to discover, respond to, and participate in that reflection. Through drama, music, and visual arts, we create space for students across all grades to explore and develop their God-given gifts and grow in confidence as creators and cultivators of beauty.
From K–12, students move from foundational exploration in the early years to deeper skill development and broader opportunities to create and share their work. In this way, they develop a lasting love for artistic expression as a good gift from God – and learn to steward their talents to His glory.
Music
Strings Program
Students in Grades 3–12 can join our extracurricular Strings Program, where they learn to play an instrument and have opportunities to perform in concerts and recitals. They build musical skills and discover how music entertains, communicates, and tells stories.
Band
All Grade 6 and 7 students experience the joy of making music together. In high school, students can choose to join the Concert Band to continue developing their skills and deepen their love for music.
Choir
Grade 6 and 7 students may join an extracurricular Choir club, while Concert Choir is offered as a high school course for Grades 8–12.

Drama and Visual Arts
Drama and visual arts are woven into our K–7 program. In Grades 8–12, students can choose to continue in these areas as electives, growing their skills and artistic expression.
Film and Photography
Film & TV and Photography are courses offered as electives for Grades 11 and 12.
