High School Corner

Dear High School Students,

Without a doubt, exam time can be a stressful time of year. As difficult as it can sometimes feel, a little stress can be a good motivator to help get us off the couch and help us to reach our goals. However, if it starts to feel paralyzing, it may be time to ask for help. Don’t be shy to ask. Know that our teachers are around for a conversation and just an email away if you need.

Through conversations with some of you, I’m hearing that you are most worried about failure. Many of you are used to achieving at high levels, and so failing could simply mean that you are not reaching a mark that you would like to obtain.

So please consider this perspective: sometimes, despite our best efforts, things don’t turn out the way we plan. And that’s okay. I encourage all of you to stay open-minded and positive. Put forth your best efforts in understanding and make sure you ask the teachers for support. All teachers have office hours and review sessions set up for the next two weeks. Please take advantage of the opportunity and email them to join in the sessions.

I wish you all the best for the upcoming exam period and for the adventures that await you in the months and years to come.

Blessings,

Mrs. Voo, High School Principal
